Lisa Limone & Maroc Orange: A Rapid Love Story / Lisa Limone ja Maroc Orange: tormakas armulugu (Estonia, 2013)

directed by Mait Laas, 3D opera animation, 73 min, eng subtitles
written by Kati Kovacs, Peep Pedmanson

Estonia's first 3D animated opera tells the story of impossible love between orange boy Maroc, a singing boat refugee, and lemon girl Lisa, who collects singing seashells and dreams about love. Maroc is the brave hero-type, bound by prejudice and poverty. Lisa is the daughter of a rich businessman and tomato ketchup plantation owner. Will their encounter fill their hearts with happiness?
This visually overwhelming animation spiced up by daring music and libretto in various languages deals in a socially critical manner with the topic of illegal immigrants fleeing from Africa to Europe.

CinEast spectators will have the chance to choose between a 3D and 2D version of the film.
