Loving is the second feature film by Sławomir Fabicki, after a six-year break, following the success of the award-winning Retrieval.
Loving tells the story of a young woman in her thirties, having a difficult relationship with her boss, which will challenge her happy marriage. After a traumatic experience the couple, Marysia and Tomek, will have to redefine their feelings and answer some crucial questions regarding their relationship. Nothing is certain - mutual trust, feeling of security, reliance - all is being questioned and their feelings put to the test. Inspired by true events, the film draws a very sincere, intimate and painful portrait of a young couple expecting their first baby.
"It's actually a story about various aspects of love: responsibility, jealousy, fear, forgiveness, empathy and absence of the same. About all those good and bad feelings that accompany a relationship once the phase of euphoric love has passed, when we ask ourselves: am I still in love? In my film I show how people learn to open up to another person. How, living together, they finally see their partner. They take responsibility for that person and that person's love".
