In 2013, CinEast presents the thematic cycle "Women's Stories".
Numerous films on the programme (features, documentaries and short films) focus on the women related questions: women's rights, their situation, life stories. Narrated by women and/or about women, their stories are often unexpected, gripping, sometimes disturbing. They look on the life styles and challenges faced by women nowadays as well as in the past. The cycle is complemented with debates and also explored in a comprehensive photo exhibition "Women's Stories" at the Abbaye de Neumünster presenting works of six artists from Poland, Latvia, Bulgaria and Luxembourg as well as in the framework of "The Edouard Allen Project" exhibition at the Ancien Cinéma in Vianden.
The films belonging to the cycle are: Women's Day, Loving, Lisa Limone & Maroc Orange, Aglaya, Tigers In The City, Some Secrets, Lora From Morning Till Evening, Womb, Flying Blind, The Congress, Generation Singles, 8th of March, Documentarian, The Beauty Exchange, Tzvetanka, Regina, Marketa Lazarova, Mamas&Papas, Little Girl Blue, Burning Bush, Child's Pose, Tango Abrazos, Estrellita, Vanishing Waves, In Vino Veritas, The Kiosk, Amelia, Sweet Movie, On Wednesdays, The Easter Crumble
