Vicky Krieps


Vicky Krieps was born in 1983 in Luxembourg and she lives and works in Berlin. After having finished high school, she successfully completed her drama courses and acted during her studies at the Schauspielhaus Zürich. As director herself, she staged Darwins Erbe by Eveline de la Chenelière in the Jungen Staatstheater Berlin. She worked with Roland Emmerich, Joe Wright, Andreas Veiel, Philippe de Pierpont’s.

In 2012, she was awarded with the prize for the best young actor at the Luxemburgischer Filmpreis.  In 2008, she was awarded with the prize ‘Best Youngster’ for her acting in the short film La Nuit Passée(director: Eileen Byrne) at the Busho Festival Budapest.

In 2014 she played in the film A Most Wanted Man with stars as Philip Seymour Hoffman, Rachel McAdams, William Dafoe and Daniel Brühl.

In 2015 the feature film Das Zimmermädchen by Ingo Haeb was released in Germany after a very successful film festival tour. Main actress Vicky Krieps was awarded at the Munich Filmfestival as “best upcoming actress”.
