CinEast 2015 figures
The 8th edition of CinEast attracted over 9500 people, of which 7000 in cinemas, 1900 at special events and 600 at school screenings. Many thanks to all!

Charity project outcome

CinEast 2015 Awards announced
The Grand Prix goes to BODY by Malgorzata Szumowska, the Special Jury Prize to BABAI by Visar Morina, the Critics' Prize to SON OF SAUL by László Nemes and the Audience Award to LOSERS by Ivaylo Hristov.

CinEast 2015 Awards Ceremony
The Awards Ceremony of CinEast 2015 will take place at the Cinémathèque on Friday 23 October at 8.30pm. It will be followed by the screening of the film Cosmos. Limited capacity.

Liza & Tokyo Disco @ Gudde Wellen
The screening is sold out, but the Asian pop party Tokyo Disco (see presentation) by DJ Ambrus Tövisházi aka Erik Sumo is open to all. Come and have fun with CinEast!

Masterclass cancelled - new programme
The masterclass of A. ¯ulawski will be replaced with the screening of the documentary Zulawski on Zulawski and an introduction to Mr. ¯ulawski's work by Derek Woolfenden.

Andrzej ¯ulawski not coming
The guest of honour and president of CinEast's jury, the Polish film director Andrzej ¯ulawski, will unfortunately not be able to attend the festival because of illness.

Opening film - Body
The CinEast 2015 opens with the film Body by Ma³gorzata Szumowska at Neimënster. The opening ceremony will be preceded by the official opening of the Urban Stories photography exhibition.

Andrzej Zulawski - president of the Jury
The renowned Polish director Andrzej Zulawski kindly accepted to preside over the International Jury of CinEast 2015.

Press conference
The CinEast 2015 press conference held on 24 September at 10am at the Cinémathèque will unveil the festival's full film selection, competition titles, members of the juries and all events.

Live soundtrack by Neuvìøitelno (CZ)
The classic 1927 Czechoslovak silent comedy An Old Gangster's Molls will be accompanied by live performance of the band Neuvìøitelno on 20 October (Cinémathèque).

CinEast 2015 introduces ‘Urban Stories’
The thematic cycle ‘Urban Stories’, reflected in films and the main photo exhibitions, will address the theme of the city as a social phenomenon. Urban life reveals itself with contrasts, as well as similarities, between eastern and western Europe.

The 8th edition of CinEast film festival will take place in Luxembourg and other towns from 8 to 25 October 2015.

CinEast 2014 figures
The 7th CinEast attracted over 7000 people to cinemas and 1900 more to the various festival events. Moreover, around 900 students participated in the school screenings, so the total number reached 9800. Thank you for your support!
