Let's look up at the stars!
Did you know that Yugoslavia had its own highly developed space programme that the Americans bought, in some desperation, from Mr. Tito for billions of dollars (with a few engineers thrown in) just to be able to keep up with the Soviets? Houston, We Have a Problem will fill you in on all you need to know about it!
And did you know that before Stanley Kubrick shot the sci-fi classic 2001: A Space Odyssey, that he had been inspired (confirmed by himself!) by a modest film from socialist Czechoslovakia directed by someone called Jindřich Polák? And this film - Ikarie XB 1 – paved the way for all the Star Treks, Star Wars, Darkstars and Stargates that followed. Don't be afraid, there are no monsters lurking beyond in Polák’s outer space.
