Suela Bako, is an Albanian actress and director, known for Bloodlands(2017), directed by Steven Kastrissios. She is the director and writer of several short documentaries and short films like Mėngė kėmishe (Shirt Sleeves, 2015) and Darka (The Dinner, 2014), and also the co-director with Yllka Gjollesha of Dritė (Light, 2017) about photographer Gjon Milli. She studied acting at the Academy of Arts in Tirana and did a Master's in Film and TV Directing at the University of Arts in Tirana. Bako worked as a TV director and producer from 2002 to 2013 and, in addition to working as a film and theatre actress, has participated in many Video/Performance workshops. Her films have participated in film festivals in Albania, Kosovo, Italy, Macedonia, Norway, Switzerland, USA, India, Croatia and the UK.
