Winner of the FIPRESCI Award at the Cannes Film Festival, the debut feature by Hungarian Zsófia Szilágyi portrays with rare intimacy and reality 36 hours in the life of a middle-class mother, whose marriage is on the brink.
Anna is 40. She is always in a rush. She has three children, a husband, a job and financial stress. Anna meets deadlines, makes promises, takes care of things, brings stuff home and remembers everything. But she never catches up with her husband. Hyper-realistic, intimate portrait of a struggling mother in the middle of a marriage crisis, whose over-packed, exhausting daily routine stops her from looking after her own needs. Impressive debut, offering an original, piercing take on motherhood.
