In Free Fall György Pálfi - a director closely watched by CinEast and jury member of the 2012 edition - proves once again his particular taste for the grotesque, his love of bizarre imagery and his great boldness. An old lady jumps off an apartment building in Budapest but, instead of a horrible death, she ends up picking up the pieces of her broken glasses. As she walks up the stairs, we get to peek into seven apartments in the building, each of them the scene of strange and absurd events. What connects these otherwise very different stories is that all of them question the concept of normality and puts to the test the audience’s sense of adventure. Just how far are you ready to go?
