Andrej Chertov

Andrey Chertov (1953) is a Bulgarian writer, director, camera operator and producer. He has worked as a cameraman on over 200 films, including documentaries, animations and features. In 1985, he received the prize for Best Achievement as Director of Photography at the Golden Rhython film festival in Plovdiv for the documentary films I Dream Music (1983) and The Labyrinths (1984), and in 2010, he received the Bulgarian Film Academy award for best cinematography for the feature The Abduction. He is the writer of several feature and documentary films, and the producer of many national and international films. A Rainy Day is his first documentary as director.
