Claude Waringo

Born in Luxembourg in 1963, Claude Waringo graduated from INSAS (Brussels). In 1986 he was a founding member of Samsa Film, which is, by its size and number of its productions, the first production company in Luxembourg. He is also responsible for the creation of ULPA, the Luxembourg Union of Audiovisual Producers and since 2009, he became its Vice President. In 2012 he founded, together with all the professional associations, D’Filmakademie, (the Luxembourg Film Academy) and became its first president. Since 1989, Claude Waringo produced and co-produced not less than 50 films among them: The Promise by the Dardenne brothers, The School of Flesh by Benoît Jacquot (Official Selection Cannes 1999) and more recently, Tango Libreby Frédéric Fonteyne (Official Selection, Venice, 2012).
