Lazar, a silent and mysterious young man, earns his living in dirty business – smuggling illegal immigrants across the border. When his father left, he had to learn to be resourceful and tough, and now he’s stuck, but also seduced by this criminal world in which he’s extremely efficient.
His world, however, begins to change when he falls in love with Katerina, an honest girl studying architecture and hoping for a better life for both of them. Lazar has to make a choice and decides to quit his criminal environment and start anew. However, he soon realises that it is no easy task to simply break away from the criminal world that he is part of.
