April 2009. Petru, 22 years old, is a student in the USA. He comes back for the holidays to his native Chisinau in Moldova. People have gathered in the streets of Chisinau, the call having spread through social networking sites. They are demonstrating against the Communist authorities who falsified the election results. They seize and plunder the parliament and presidential buildings. The demonstrators carry away documents, furniture and office equipment. Petru, totally unaware of this political moment, finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Mistaken for a demonstrator, he is suddenly attacked and arrested by masked men.Based on real events, through skilled long takes, the film shows the police brutality and demonstrators’ humiliation during the 2009 events, which received very little coverage in Western countries.
