Marianna has made a dramatic choice between life in harmony with her identity and staying with her family. Preparing for gender reassignment, she has to leave her home and, following Polish law, sue her parents in court. On the threshold of a new life, fate turns out to be extremely cruel to her. During rehearsals for a theatre play inspired by Marianna’s story, the protagonist must relive the difficult experiences from the time of her marriage.

Pour Marianna, il a été extrêmement difficile de choisir entre l’envie de vivre en harmonie avec elle-même et le désir de rester avec sa famille. En faisant le choix de changer de sexe, elle a dû quitter son foyer, se battre à chaque instant contre les préjugés, même poursuivre ses parents en justice. Au seuil de sa nouvelle vie, elle découvre que le destin peut être très cruel. Pendant les répétitions d’une pièce de théâtre qui s’inspire de son histoire, Marianna est à nouveau confrontée à son passé difficile d’homme marié.
