Danijel Hočevar

Danijel Hočevar (1965) is a Slovenian producer who set up Emotionfilm (together with film director Damjan Kozole), the first independent film production company in Slovenia, in 1986. In 1994 he set up Vertigo, another company, together with Kozole and Metod Pevec. They produced or co-produced 30 feature films, including Slovenian Girl (Damjan Kozole, 2009) or Beneath Her Window (Metod Pevec, 2003). Their productions have performed well on the festival circuit, receiving numerous awards and selling well internationally. Danijel Hočevar was among Variety’s Ten Producers To Watch in 2001 and is a voting member of the European Film Academy.
