Andrzej Chyra
Andrzej Chyra is one of the most talented and prominent Polish actors of his generation. He has played many leading roles in films and TV series. He created many unforgettable characters in the works of Andrzej Wajda (Katyn), Krzysztof Krauze, Krzysztof Zanussi, Volker Schlöndorff (Strajk – Die Heldin von Danzig), Juliusz Machulski, Marek Koterski, Feliks Falk (The Collector) and Ma³gorzata Szumowska (Elles). He has twice won Best Actor Award at the Gdynia Polish Feature Film Festival. He was a member of the highly renowned Warsaw Rozmanitosci theatre team for many years and later joined the Teatr Nowy with which he performs in Poland as well as abroad in, among others, plays by Krzysztof Warlikowski. He is a member of the European Film Academy.
