Liza & Tokyo Disco!

Gudde Wellen

A fun fusion evening mixing cinematography and music!

We kick off with a screening of the utterly irresistible comedy Liza, the Fox-Fairy (with English subtitles), a fairy tale for grown-ups set in fictionalised 1970s Hungary and spiced up with colourful Japanese (!) pop elements, an enjoyable blend of Asian folklore with fanciful Amélie-inspired artistic direction, tinged with irony and black humour. After the screening, the author of the film’s soundtrack, Hungarian musician Ambrus Tövisházi, will personally throw a lively DJ party like no other. His project ‘Erik Sumo presents Tokyo Disko’ will give you a taste of the sugary 70s Asian pop from the movie and other unmissable kitsch tunes. So go wild the (Far)Eastern way! Multicoloured vintage outfits recommended.
