Ederly is a place that exists outside of time, on the border between the real world and a dream. A man, S³ow (Mariusz Bonaszewski), appears one day in Ederly, claiming that he has come to work as a restorer in the local church. However, all the residents of Ederly recognise him as a man who disappeared some 20 years ago ... A surreal comedy with elements of a thriller or a philosophical treatise on life, Ederly spins a dream-like, original and grotesque story, combined with a realistic visual layer. Inspired by the masters of literature (Dostoyevsky and Kafka), the director offers a very distinctive style and aesthetics, with a liberal sprinkling of black humour and dream logic.
