The poor Bulgarian village of Dolni Tsibar on the banks of the Danube has been referred to as ‘Roma Cambridge’. The reason for this is that its predominantly Roma population enjoys a relatively high level of education. Over the course of one year, this documentary film observes the life of the local community and the village’s elementary school, where dedicated teachers try to give the children the best possible education with limited resources.
