A year after Ernella, Albert and their 10-year-old daughter Laura left Hungary for Scotland for a better life, they return as life in Scotland did not work out. In the middle of the night, they turn up at Eszter’s, Ernella’s sister. Eszter, her husband Farkas and their 5-year-old son Bruno are better off than Ernella who is struggling with serious financial problems. The two families have never really got on. Eszter is the only one who realises that Ernella loves to be at Eszter’s, even though they can’t agree on anything. How can the two families learn to tolerate each other at Eszter’s sublet, and for how long? Grand Prix at Karlovy Vary.

Il y a un an Ernella, Albert et Laura, leur fille âgée de 10 ans, ont quitté la Hongrie à la recherche d'une vie meilleure. Mais comme ils n'ont pas trouvé leur bonheur en Ecosse, ils décident de revenir. Au milieu de la nuit, ils débarquent chez Eszter, la sœur d'Ernella. Eszter, son mari Farkas et leur fils de 5 ans, Bruno, qui vivent dans de meilleures conditions que la famille d’Ernella. Les deux familles n'ont jamais eu des relations réellement harmonieuses, mais seulement Eszter en est vraiment consciente. Ernella se sent bien chez Eszter, bien qu'ils ne puissent se mettre d'accord sur quoi que ce soit. Comment les deux familles peuvent vivre ensemble et pour combien de temps? Grand Prix du festival de Karlovy Vary.
