Gripping and full of surprising turns, Simple Story About Murder is an account of a policeman's family whose fate is shaken by a mysterious crime. Jacek, a young policeman, tries to protect his mother and brothers from a despotic and hot-blooded father involved in illegal business. When the father is murdered, the son becomes the main suspect. In order to prove his innocence, Jacek must lay bare a complicated network of intrigues in which his father was involved. The film is set in two different timelines: the current and the retrospective, interfusing with one another and tossing puzzles that need to be solved in order to lay bare the criminal intrigue. Simple Story About Murder is a socially engaged, suspenseful thriller set in small-town surroundings, which questions the origins and motivations of evil.
