CinEast will not only bring you a number of cinematic treats, but will also delight your palate. Just like in previous years, the 10th edition will offer you various opportunities to embark on an exciting gastronomic adventure through Eastern and Central Europe.
The first occasion to tantalise your taste buds with delicacies from our region will be our Opening Party with Besh o droM at Melusina (7/10). A tasty selection of specialities from the band’s home country, Hungary, as well as from other Eastern European countries will be served on the venue’s upper floor before and during the music programme. Enjoy hearty traditional dishes and snacks and stock up on energy to dance the night away.
Those seeking a more relaxing culinary experience are invited to the Brasserie Wenzel for our traditional gastronomic evening (10/10). The dinner in the form of a buffet will allow you to make a choice from meals from different Eastern European countries an will be accompanied by regional wines and beers. A complimentary aperitif will be offered to holders of CinEast tickets from the same day. For reservations please contact the Brasserie directly.
The Brasserie Wenzel will be the place to go on 15 October as well. After a delicious portion of manouche gypsy swing at the Apero Jazz (Salle Krieps), you will be invited to continue your gourmet trip around Eastern Europe with a tasting of regional dishes incorporated into the menu of Brasserie’s Sunday’s brunch. Eastern European specialties will also spice up our 10th Anniversary Party at the Rotondes (14/10). Throughout the evening, stands representing the different countries of our region will introduce you to the authentic flavours of our traditional hot and cold dishes.
The Closing Party, which will this time take place at Melusina (21/10) will not leave you with a rumbling stomach either. A wide selection of hearty dishes and snacks from our region will be on offer all night long, allowing you to enjoy the energetic tunes until the early hours.
But there is much more in store… Throughout the festival, the CinEast official bar at Café Rocas will offer a selection of Central and Eastern European drinks. To sweeten your waiting time before screenings, a festival mini-bar will be open at the Cinémathèque, with sweet and savoury snacks as well as drinks from Eastern European regions. And last but not least, those attending the short films marathons will be treated to free snacks and refreshments during the breaks.
