Priit Pääsuke

Priit Pääsuke is an Estonian director who graduated from Tallinn University with a BA in film directing in 2005. Before falling for film, he studied natural science and played guitar in several space rock groups. He is currently graduating from a joint MA programme in theatre and film directing - a collaboration between the Drama School of Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and the Baltic Film and Media School. Pääsuke’s short fiction Must Peeter (Black Peter, 2008) premiered at the 38th Tampere Film Festival and won 11 prizes at 22 festivals across the world. In 2015, he co-directed his first feature length documentary Impromptu (2015), an experimental concert film taking a creative look at experimental music. After producing the feature film Polaarpoiss (Polar Boy, 2016) with his company Luxfilm Production, Pääsuke concentrated on his first feature film Keti lõpp (The End of The Chain, 2017), based on the play of the same name by Paavo Piik. The film premiered at the Karlovy Vary IFF in the East of The West Competition Programme in July 2017.
