A peek at the lives of three extraordinary but aging jazzmen coming from former Czechoslovakia: Laco Deczi, an exceptional trumpeter, now lives in New York, Jan Jankeje, a double-bass player, survives in Stuttgart and Lubo Tamškovič, a former saxophone virtuoso who used to live in Paris. We follow them in various funny as well as sad situations and we also meet Laco’s close friend Chris DePino, a musician and politician close to George W. Bush… A film about the transience of fame and human life that is just like the steam that silently appears and disappears over a flowing river.
