Frano is a film director preparing his debut movie about the crash of a local textile factory. Inspired by his aunt, a worker in Kamensko, he creates a strong fictional character, Lada Kamenski, to represent the spirit of female unity and solidarity. In order to find a perfect actress for the main part he invites three esteemed actresses for an unusual reading rehearsal. However, as soon as the three realise they are competing against each other for the lead female role, things take an unexpected turn.
Female collective in one industry is in direct contrast to the collective in the other. In one, women are united in order to survive and keep their jobs whilst in the other they are ready to play tricks on each other in order to win the main part.
