Urszula Antoniak

Urszula Antoniak is a Polish/Dutch screenwriter and director. She studied Film Production at the Polish Film Academy and Film Directing at the Netherlands Film and Television Academy. Her feature debut Nothing Personal (2009) was nominated for the European Film Academy Discovery Award and won six awards at Locarno FF, including Best Debut, Best Actress and FIPRESCI award, as well as Best Director and Best Film at the Dutch FF in Utrecht. Her second film, Code Blue (2011) had its premiere at Directors’ Fortnight at the Cannes IFF 2011. She has also written the award-winning children's film Life According to Nino and wrote the story for the Polish romantic comedy Planet Single (screened at CinEast 2016). Beyond Words is her fourth feature film.
