A unique opportunity to learn more about Georgia!
Let's visit a courtyard in an old Tbilisi housing area where people live like one big family, helping each other out to alleviate their poverty, and killing their time together chatting, playing games and partying in the yard. The Georgian film Neighbours by Gigisha Abashidze, starring Tornike Gogrichiani, Ia Sukhitashvili, Nino Koridze and others, is a beautifully filmed charming film that focuses on the everyday life of a community, presenting a microcosm of society in transition.
One of the finest examples of new Georgian cinema, Neighbors won the Special Jury Diploma for the best director at the 2019 International Film Festival in Kiev.
The screening will be followed by a tasting of Georgian wines.
Organised in collaboration and with the support of the Georgian Embassy in Brussels.
