Ana Maria Rossi graduated in directing from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. For 10 years, she was part of Mike Aleksić group. For years, she worked in television (RTS) and she is the author of numerous documentaries, promotional films and commercials. She is the director of the Serbian part of the omnibus film Some Other Stories (2010), shown at 40 festivals and winner of 6 awards. The Serbian-Montenegrin drama Ajvar is her feature debut and one of the titles in the main competition at the 26th European Film Festival Palić, receiving a Special Mention by the Jury. Currently she is working on two scripts that will cover a few decades of Yugoslav and post-Yugoslav history, touching upon the collapse and the burdens of a Serbian family, influenced by the social and political changes that their country is going through.
