Warsaw 1951. Tonia, a young and care-free cabaret singer, is arrested by the Security Services. Convinced that they have mistaken her for somebody else, she does not take her first interrogation very seriously. She suffers through a gruelling series of interrogation sessions which make no sense to her at first but soon she realises that the Security Services intend to frame her and use her as a witness in a political trial. This is a film about humanity surviving against extreme odds.
