Based on the eponymous novel by Jasminka Petrović, the film follows the story of twelve-year-old Sofija from Belgrade, who is forced to spend her summer holidays in a dilapidated family house on the Croatian island of Hvar with her rather overbearing grandmother Maria and weird old aunt Luce. Without friends or the internet, Sofia's life on Hvar is hell, but the monotony soon turns into an exciting adventure resulting in the discovery of a long-kept family secret. With new friendships and adventures, Sofija gets her dream vacation and learns much more than she would have ever expected…
A feel-good, warm-hearted and entertaining family film with an excellent performance of Klara Hrvanović in the role of Sofija, taking you on a charming, yet emotional summer sunny adventure at the Croatian seaside.
