While the outdoor cafés in the ancient Georgian town of Kutaisi are busy installing screens for the football championship, and the local dogs fight for the best mate, Lisa and Giorgi lose each other before they can even properly meet. Will they be able to overcome the curse of the “evil eye” that has separated them?
This is a love letter to a city, to cinema, and to football, written with the playful exaggeration of a modern day metropolitan fairy-tale or an offbeat romantic epic. Through the use of voiceovers and intertitles, the film calls attention to itself and its desire to tell a story. It takes its viewer on an unusual journey filled with visual poetry and a very distinctive sense of humour.

The film received the FIPRESCI Prize at the Berlinale 2021 and many other awards around the world.
