Anastasija and Diana are two sisters living in a Latvian orphanage. When they learn that an American family is willing to adopt them, Diana, the younger one, looks forward to starting a new life in an all-encouraging environment of a new home, while 13-year-old Anastasija is reluctant to leave her country, still hoping to reconnect with her biological mother.
