London-based Bosnian film director, Una Gunjak’s first feature film is an empathic drama set in Sarajevo about the everyday adolescent struggles of fifteen-year-old Iman. Right before a planned excursion with her class that marks the end of primary school Iman gets caught up in a rumour of having slept with eighteen-year-old Damir. Her classmates are not entirely convinced until the moment when Iman confides that she might actually be pregnant. This news spreads like wildfire, reaching the entire school including teachers and parents, and spirals out of control. Suddenly, her wish of being taken seriously by her peers turns her into the school’s enemy number one.
A powerful look into the world of today’s teenagers, touching on topics of adolescent sexuality, peer pressure, feeling insecure and parent-teen relationships, among others, with a remarkable performance by Asja Zara Lagumdžija in the role of Iman.
