Yaroslav Lodygin

Yaroslav Lodygin, born in Kharkiv (Ukraine), started at a very young age as an actor, radio host and later on received a university degree as a historian. In 2012 he began to develop his feature debut The Wild Fields, a screen adaptation of the iconic Ukrainian novel Voroshilovgrad by the writer Serhiy Zhadan. The project (under the working title Voroshilovgrad) received a special mention at the Work-In-Progress competition at the Odessa IFF 2013, but it was paused when the revolution and the war in Ukraine unfolded, and picked up again only in 2015. In 2019 Lodygin was accepted as a member of the European Film Academy and become a board member of the Ukrainian Public Broadcasting company. In 2018 he started developing his next feature, an adaptation of Zhadan’s novel “Internat”.
