director Fritzi - A Revolutionary Tale
Ralf Kukula, born in 1962 in Dresden, started working as an animator at DEFA-Studio for animated movies after his studies in Painting and Graphics in Dresden and at the University for Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg. In 1993 he founded Balance Film GmbH focusing on development and production of animated movies and documentary films for cinemas and television. With his voluntary work, for instance as a co-founder of Filmverband Sachsen, he makes a crucial contribution to the German film industry. He is also a member of DEFA-Stiftung of the Saxon Culture Senate and the Saxon Academy of Arts.
