Lendita Zeqiraj, born in Kosovo, is an award-winning film director & writer, declared “National Filmmaker of the Year 2014” and recipient of “The Annual Film Excellence Award for Cinematic Achievements” by the Kosovo Ministry of Culture. She has worked on a number of shorts and documentaries that have participated in over 300 International Film Festivals, winning prizes in a number of them. Her short film Balcony premiered at 70th Venice Film Festival and her most recent short film Fence has been a candidate for the Oscar® Academy Awards. Her debut feature Aga’s House had its world premiere at Karlovy Vary IFF, winning the Federation of Film Critics of Europe and the Mediterranean FEDEORA Special Mention award.
