CinEast festival wants to tantalise not only your taste in films but also your taste buds. Just like in past years, we invite you to discover the gastronomic aspect of Eastern and Central European culture.
In this edition we have a new opportunity for you to explore the cuisine of our region at the Opening Party at Melusina (10/10). Choose the concept that suits you better: enjoy a three-course dinner at the restaurant before the concert – reservations advised (www.melusina.lu/restaurant) or try cold & warm small dishes at the venue during the evening's musical programme. Traditional Eastern European dishes will keep up your energy levels to party with us all night long!
The traditional gastronomic evening at the Brasserie le Neumünster on 13 October will keep your stomach happy with a tasty selection of traditional dishes, wines and beers. Create your own menu from various options from different countries and enjoy the authentic flavours of this gastronomically lesser known region. Holders of CinEast tickets from the same day receive a free aperitif. We advise you to make a reservation by contacting the Brasserie (www.abbaye.lu).
Also get ready to taste traditional dishes at the Gypsy Soul event at Rotondes (15/10), organised in collaboration with RIFF. Experience different aspects of gypsy/Roma culture on a culinary journey through countries that are home to large Roma communities.
Last but not least, come hungry to our Closing Party at Sang & Klang (25/10)! Throughout an evening full of music you can enjoy hearty dishes and snacks: Polish bigos, Ukrainian varenyky, Balkan burek and more. A wide selection of traditional drinks (beers, wines, spirits & more) will be available at the bar.
In addition, snacks and drinks will be served to the audiences at the short film marathons and CinEast will once again operate a festival mini-bar at the Cinémathèque to let you enjoy the intervals between screenings with drinks and snacks from the CEE countries.
