Feeling hungry? CinEast festival will not only please your eyes and ears but also tease your taste buds and fill your stomach. Besides films and music, join us on a culinary trip through Eastern Europe.
Following on from last year’s success, you will be once again able to discover delicacies from our region, starting at the Opening party with Flying Orkestar at Melusina (8 Oct.). A tasty selection of specialities from Ukraine and other regions will be served on the top floor of the venue before and during the music programme, helping to keep your energy levels up so that you can party with us all night long.
For a somewhat quieter culinary experience head to our traditional gastronomic evening at the Brasserie le Neumünster (11 Oct.). You will be able to design your own three-course menu from various options representing different countries, sampling the authentic flavours of the gastronomically lesser known part of Europe. Holders of CinEast tickets from the same day receive a free aperitif. For reservations please contact the Brasserie directly (www.abbaye.lu).
Travel back with us to the socialist times and recall (or discover) the taste of some traditional Eastern Bloc dishes at the Eastalgia party at the Rotondes (13 Oct.). Have fun in bringing back the “good” old days of food rations and slim pickings.
Make sure to come with an empty stomach to our Closing Party at Sang & Klang on 23 October. The energetic musical programme will be accompanied by a nice selection of hearty dishes and snacks, as well as traditional drinks (beers, wines, spirits & more).
Throughout the festival you can enjoy some Central and Eastern European drinks at the festival’s official bar Café Rocas. A selection of snacks and drinks imported just for you and available at the festival mini-bar at the Cinémathèque will come in handy while waiting for the screening. And last but not least, those attending the short films marathons will be treated to free snacks and refreshments during the breaks. Bon appétit!
