Let's wind back the years together at the Eastalgia party.

The CinEast time machine offers you a chance to re-live or experience socialist times in the Eastern Bloc at our Eastalgia party, a fun event fuelled by nostalgia for the socialist culture, lifestyle and symbols.

Cast your memory back to those “good” old days, or discover what life was like way back then, through our quiz. Taste some typical dishes from those days of food rations and slim pickings. Dive into the archives and enjoy our short movies about daily life in the former communist countries. Get inspired, maybe even shocked, by visuals from that period presented in a VJ mix accompanied by a lively funk dance party. DJ Papa Zura from Warsaw is dusting off his vinyls just to treat you to some of the best Eastern European tunes from the 60s, 70s and 80s.

Oh, and don’t forget your costume! The dress code is a typical Eastern Bloc outfit. Let your imagination fly and you may just win the competition for Best creative look!
