The Queen of Silence is a story of a girl who is hard-of-hearing and from a Romanian Roma illegal settlement on the outskirts of a city in Poland. Crazy about Bollywood, Denisa shows how hard a life can be and how little you need to be happy.

The director of the film Refugees pretended to be one of those travelling from the Syrian border through Turkey, crossing the sea to a Greek island and continuing via the Western Balkans to bring a true version of what these refugees have to undergo. Through the use of hidden cameras, the film invites us to experience the real journey towards the EU dream and sheds light on the business behind it.
