Thanks to your generosity our special charity screening of "The Earth Is Blue As An Orange" by Iryna Tsylik on 31/03/2022 and the related action raised 5432,52 EUR that we donated to LUkraine asbl. See photos. We will continue to support Ukraine throughout 2022.
The 14th hybrid edition of CinEast attracted over 8500 participants, with more than 4800 spectators in cinemas, over 2600 online views and more than 1100 people attending our special events. Many thanks to all and see you in 2022!

The Croatian film Murina, the winner of the CinEast 2021 Grand Prix, will be repeated today (Sunday) at 20.30 at the Cinematheque. Get your tickets here.
The Awards Ceremony of CinEast 2021 takes place on Saturday 23/10 at 7pm at Kinepolis Kirchberg. The Ceremony will be followed by the Closing Film My Sunny Maad by jury member Michaela Pavlátová. Limited number of tickets available here.

The Closing event of the 14th edition brings a live performance by the notorious French band Flying Orkestar and a Balkan party with Lazarus Soundsystem DJs from Belgium. Eastern European food and drinks available. Tickets (12/15 EUR).

The Italian director Francesco Montagner who won the Pardo d'oro of the Cineasti del presente at Locarno this year with the documentary Brotherhood, will present the film on Mon 18/10 at 20.45 at Neimënster.

Special evening "Friday for the Planet" with documentaries As Far As Possible & The Last Generation followed by the debate Dreams of Escape from the System with the director of Greenpeace Luxembourg Raymond Aendekerk, directors of both films and a protagonist - 15/10 from 6.30 at Neimënster.

Romanian actress Ioana Bugarin (also in our Cinéfocus) will meet CinEast audiences during the Q&As after the screenings of the films Miracle and Mia Misses Her Revenge on 12-14 October.

The full programme, including the films in competition and members of the juries will be presented at the CinEast 2021 press conference held on Wednesday 22 September at 11am at the Cinémathèque (17 Place du Théâtre, Luxembourg).
The selection of short films in all three categories - fiction, animated and documentary - has been closed. The 35 selected films, many of which have received important awards, will be presented to you during four short film marathons at Neimënster and Cinémathèque.
